Some Honest Reviews From Our Readers
Alexa Young, CA
In this book, Mark C. Overton uses literature to explain how to overcome worldly temptation and put full faith in the Almighty. He provides genius phrases for people to stand their ground no matter how many times they are bombarded by the backlash. It then points out the true path and purpose of Christianity.
In all honesty, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Aside from the cliché comment of being well-written, it is also well-researched and argued. The author was an engaging writer, so the book’s length would not inhibit any interested readers.
Lastly, I do want to mention that if you are the kind of reader who tends to skip the introduction, you absolutely wouldn't want to pass this one. This is a book that you'll regret missing even a single detail. It is full of wisdom that helps set up the rest of the book for you.

This book is one I will return to reflect in more depth on each chapter, and I love how each one could be looked at singularly as separate units. I do not believe it should be a quick read and then soon forgotten. I'm hoping to reflect on this book periodically over time.
Mark C. Overton's approach is realistic and fresh. He really puts himself out there with honesty, regardless of if you agree or disagree. I was hesitant to read this because I was afraid it would be preachy. But I was very wrong. It's real, raw, and honest.

Mr. Overton here answers the frequently voiced doubts of the skeptics. He single-handedly dismantles every one of them by guiding you to the clear path. With just five steps, he, piece by piece, makes up for the faith one has lost. And once you awaken your commitment to Him, it is the time you walk confidently by His side.

This book is a breath of relief to anyone experiencing a faith transition and looking for some direction after deconstructing beliefs.
I believe this may be a timely book for many people; it was for me. I believe we all have doubts about our faith at times. But rather than try so hard to dismiss them, maybe we should examine our doubts. Faith is a journey, and doubt may be part of that journey for many of us.
Mark Overton's Faith Transformation helped me feel less alone than ever during my own faith experience. It gave me hope and five practical steps for moving forward. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who is re-examining their faith or has loved ones who are.

One of the biggest takeaways I have from "Faith Transformation" is that one way to fight our uncertainty is by drawing closer to Him, to trust Him more than anything else. So, when your faith is jeopardized, do not hesitate to call Him, for He promised to answer.

I don't read a lot of Christian books written by men. Most are aimed at a specific audience that is not a part of. Jane started reading this book to me while we were traveling. I loved her reading to me, and this is what she had with her. The more she read, the more I liked what the author had to say. So much that I bought my own copy. Not only do I not read a lot of Christian men authors, but I also don't give a lot of 5-star reviews of books. But this one is deserving of it.
Overton has a thoroughly biblical understanding of the gospel. He explains very clearly how to apply the gospel to our daily lives in a transformational manner.

Throughout my reading, I felt like I grew as a person and an intellectual. Thus, I know the author accomplished his goals. I enjoyed Overton’s writing style very much. Something about him feels like we’re two best friends walking back home after class and he’s there telling me his whole day. He speaks to me in a conversational tone or casual manner, opening my mind to his thoughts.

I am so glad I picked this book and explored all about faith and knowing more of the Scriptures. This is a book I'll be holding on to! I have no doubt you will learn something new too after reading Faith Transformation. After reading this masterpiece, I am still in awe, and I am looking forward to reading more from the author!

Faith Transformation is written for people struggling with deconstruction. Specifically, they’re doubting their faith, questioning once unquestioned doctrines, wrestling with God and His ways. Maybe they grew up in a religious home but later, having probed more deeply into the church’s teachings, began to wonder if they are true or not. For many, this happens at the university when they’re told to question everything. For others, it’s during or after a major life transition. For still others, like me, five or ten years ago, it happens when our lives or relationships crumble, we feel the church has turned her back on us, and the very word “religion” feels disgusting in our mouths.

This book was such a breath of fresh air to me! It has helped me to reframe my thinking and renew hope in me of the possibility of restoring my faith in God in a new and beautiful way without leaving behind core truths that are so very important to me.
I suggest you read only one chapter a day so you can have time for a healthy reflection as the message slowly penetrates your heart. I was deeply encouraged by this book, and I think that you will be, too.

Insightful! I can see through Mark's words how eager he is to watch the world learn.

There are times I feel like time has frozen because my smile would fade, and my eyes would lose their sparkles whenever reality hits hard. Despite all the achievements we, as a species, have accomplished, humans are still the most fallible living creature in this world. We, perhaps, have been outpaced by our morals. Therefore, we're only a few steps away from losing everything we have. Our knowledge could wipe out the world in a second. Our sin could do the same that Adam and Eve have caused humanity.
Faith Transformation covers multiple issues needed to be addressed. It illustrates clearly the many and varied things that turn people skeptical about their faith in God. However, the writer challenges us to doubt our doubts. In a world where society is obsessed with celebrities and people are easily deceived and blind to the truth, Mark is about to change everything.

This is the perfect book for anyone yearning to listen to the answers posed by questions expressed through doubt. This is an intelligent and compassionate Christian defense to skepticism. Furthermore, believers who slowly lose their path would find their way back home to God. Highly recommended!
